LETTER FROM OUR FIRST GEOTHERMAL INSTALLATION (1994)

"It has been over two years now since you installed the WaterFurnace in my oceanfront house (4,600 sq. ft.). I am writing to inform you of my feelings on the performance of the unit.

The unit is very quiet. The heat is distributed evenly and there are no cold spots in the house. We keep the temperature setting at 69 degrees and it is comfortable. In the winter and fall, I am always cold in other houses, but not ours. In the summer, we turn the air conditioning on at 11:00 am and off again at about 7:00 pm, for if it's left on all night, it's too cold. The house is kept comfortable even though the sun is hitting it most of the day (before sunset the sun bounces off the water something fierce).

Whenever the furnace is on, winter or summer (with the air conditioning) the excess energy goes into a hot water storage tank and we get virtually free hot water, which reduces our Hydro bill. This house numerous lights, every conceivable electrical appliance in the kitchen, hot tub, jacuzzi, steam shower, alarm system and electrical gates. Since the day the WaterFurnace was installed, I have used almost daily numerous woodworking tools as well as welding machines, and yet the electrical bill runs about $150 a month.

I have had over the years every type of heating system: electric, gas, oil, even wood, and I say without hesitation that this geothermal system is far superior to all, both in performance and cost of operation."
